Paris-based band KNIGHTS OF MANDALA (KoM), founded in 2017, explores Dub Fusion — a blend of dub, electro, and jazz — with total freedom from conventions. Rejecting any label, they navigate between dub roots, electro-dub, techno-dub, jungle, drum’n’bass, and instrumental reggae, offering both instrumental compositions and more modern, electronic textures.
Their visual and artistic universe is deeply tied to pop culture, from the 1980s to today, with references to sci-fi cinema, heroic fantasy, manga, comics, video games, and series. The Mandala, the central symbol of the project, becomes a gateway allowing them to move freely across eras and universes. KoM collaborates widely, inviting singers, MCs, and instrumentalists from France and the English-speaking world to enrich their music and live performances. They release their creations via Weta Records, their independent label, and deliver unique sets combining instruments and machines to make the audience dance and travel.
With five EPs, two vinyl albums, and numerous live shows across France and Europe, KOM continues to evolve their universe and Dub Fusion, blending freedom, energy, and imagination.
