Paco Rodriguez, aka SITARSONIC, discovered the sitar in Varanasi in 1994—the year he received the sacred mantra Om Namah Shivaya from his tantric yoga master. Ever since, he has followed a path of sonic devotion that has taken him from the caves of the Himalayas, where he lived alongside the Naga Babas, to Buddhist communities in the Pyrenees. Between Goa, Crete, and the south of France, he shapes a music that bridges the sacred and the profane, meditation and trance.
SITARSONIC is a living fusion of electronica, mantra, and sitar—a project where frequencies become offerings. Blending Eastern and Western influences, Paco weaves textures that are both organic and digital, crafting soundscapes that invite an inner journey.
On stage, he has made Ozora (Hungary 2015/2022), Atman Fest (Portugal 2023), Free Earth (Greece 2019), and Harmonic Fest (France 2018) resonate. His collaborations with Electric Universe, Dark Elf, Volcano on Mars, and Kaya Project have carried the mystical sound of his sitar to dancefloors around the world.
In 2022, he released Downloading the Coconuts on the French label WP Satellite—an instrumental album where Dub, Ambient, and Electronica intertwine like electric incantations. He also leads Kirtan sessions and soundscaping performances in retreats and yoga centers, while his parallel band, Kundalini Airport, remains a living legend of Goa nights.
SITARSONIC plays everywhere, from cafés to festivals, tracing an invisible thread between worlds: music born from a long breath, where trance becomes meditation and sound, an offering.
