Ukrainian musician and composer Andrii Symonovych, aka r.roo, has been creating electronic music since 2010 at the crossroads of intelligent dance music, ambient, and downtempo. His compositions blend fragile melodies, dense textures, and broken rhythms, built on classical foundations.
Always evolving, he explores new sonic territories with each release, refining his unique signature. With over thirty albums and EPs released on Tympanik Audio, Audiotrauma, Raumklang Music, and Abstrakt Reflections, he has also been developing his own label, Lono Rec, since 2015.
In 2022, while living in Kharkiv, he composed enough, an ambient piece designed as a twenty-four-hour sound installation for the KROV tea salon. That same year, forced to leave Ukraine, he settled near Hanover, where over the garden wall (2024) was born — a four-chapter musical narrative blending melancholy, glitch, and light.
r.roo’s music is introspective and focused on emotional states. On stage, his performances go beyond simple sets, becoming evolving narratives that intertwine drama, tenderness, chaos, and hope, offering an inner journey that is both fragile and luminous.
