N’ZENG, a founding member of Le Peuple de l’Herbe (1999–2014), is a trumpeter, composer, arranger, and beatmaker. Blending organic and electronic elements, he has developed his craft as a trumpeter, keyboardist, composer, and arranger, laying the foundations for a rich, eclectic musical universe.
With L’Entourloop, he recorded three albums and handled the brass section both in the studio and on stage, taking part in tours across France and abroad, and helping shape a distinctive, energetic musical signature. In the studio, N’ZENG has collaborated with renowned artists: he appears on “Désolé” by Gorillaz, and provides trumpet and arrangements on “Switches” by Rone.
In 2024, he contributed to Degiheugi Orchestra as an arranger and orchestrator, and released The Trip, an atmospheric album with finely crafted arrangements, carried by the ethereal voice of Charlotte Savary (Wax Tailor). He also develops projects for image and contemporary performance, working with companies such as Arcosm.
Today, he also performs DJ sets, delivering hybrid shows where hip-hop, soul, afrobeat, electro, and jungle blend with live trumpet and flugelhorn, for a free-flowing, intense journey that’s always in motion.
